Like all scouting groups, 1st Tansley strives to provide a fun social environment with programs that teach children and youth how to become self-reliant and caring members of our society.

We have three fully co-ed sections:

• Beavers
• Cubs
• Scouts

• Ages 5–7
• Motto: “Sharing, Sharing, Sharing!”
• Meet for 1 hour each week
• Outdoor activities include field trips and the Beaverbee at Camp Manitou in late May, which features a day of fun with various games and activities

• Ages 8–10
• Motto: “Do Your Best!”
• Meet for 1½ hours each week
• Indoor activities include stories, songs, crafts, skits, games, building and racing wooden “Kubkars”, and theme activities
• Outdoor activities include hikes, field trips, bike rodeos, several yearly camping trips, and usually one overnight trip to a site of special interest
