Prayer shawls have been given to people for centuries to warm, embrace, comfort, and shelter. A Prayer Shawls Ministry began here in November 2007, to uplift and remind recipients of our caring God.

Join an introductory workshop to explore the creation of prayer shawls as a ministry of care. Bring some medium worsted yarn, and if you have them, a pair of knitting needles (4½ mm to 6 mm) or a crochet hook. If you need to learn to knit or want a refresher course, one of the prayer shawl knitters will gladly teach you. Teaching and learning prior to the workshop is ideal.
