Join the Prayer Shawl Ministry on the second and fourth Sunday evenings of the month. A Prayer Shawls Ministry began at Tansley in November 2007. Prayer Shawls have been made and given to people for centuries. They wrap, embrace, comfort, and shelter. Recipients have been uplifted, affirmed, comforted and reminded of our caring God.

If you need to learn to knit or want a refresher course, a member of Tansley’s prayer shawl knitters will gladly teach you. Bring a pair of knitting needles (4 ˝ mm to 6mm in size) or, if you prefer, bring a crochet hook.

When: Second & fourth Sunday starting in September, except Thanksgiving, and Mother’s Day
