In the Bible, Miriam and many other women played frame drums for the important times of ancient Israel. At Tansley, all men and women are invited to come share in the experience of learning how to use your hands to play a frame drum. No musical experience or talent is required! Drums will be provided. Some drums will also be available for purchase for those who are interested. The workshop facilitator, Betty Lynn Schwab invites all to “come listen to the heartbeat that biblical men and women, and children heard.” Some of you may remember Betty Lynn’s drumming and participation in our Palm Sunday service. Now is your chance to learn the possibilities of using a frame drum for your personal prayer life and congregational worship.
