Confirmation (for Teens)

"Confirmation" means becoming a formal member of the church by confirming the promises that your parents made on your behalf at your baptism (although you do not have to be baptized to be a part of the Confirmation group!). The confirmation group is open to youth in grade 9, as well as older youth who have not been confirmed in previous years.

It starts with a series of meetings, where you learn more about the United Church and have a chance to think about your own faith. You are then given an opportunity to be confirmed by making a profession of faith during a church service.
